Today i.e. on December 5, Sensex is trading at the level of 81,120 with a rise of more than 150 points. Nifty is also up by 40 points, it is trading at the level of 24,510.
Out of 30 Sensex stocks, 20 are rising and 10 are declining. Out of 50 stocks of Nifty, 28 are rising and 22 are declining. Media, Pharma and Metal are trading with decline in NSE sectors. There is slight increase in the rest.
Foreign investors bought shares worth ₹1,797.60 crore
- In the Asian market, Japan's Nikkei is up by 0.54% and Korea's Kospi is down by 0.31%. Whereas China's Shanghai Composite Index is trading with a rise of 0.13%.
- According to NSE data, foreign investors (FIIs) bought shares worth ₹1,797.60 crore on December 4. During this period, domestic investors (DIIs) sold shares worth ₹900.62 crore.
- On December 4, America's Dow Jones closed at 45,014, up 0.69%. The S&P 500 rose 0.61% to 6,086 and the Nasdaq gained 1.30% to 19,735.
There was a rise in the market yesterday
Earlier yesterday i.e. on December 4, the Sensex had closed at 80,956 with a gain of 110 points. Nifty also rose by 10 points, it closed at the level of 24,467.
Out of 30 Sensex stocks, 15 were down and 15 were up. Out of 50 Nifty stocks, 30 were in decline and 20 were up. In the NSE sectoral indices, PSU Banking and Realty were up by more than 2%.
HDFC Life was the top gainer on Nifty with a gain of 2.59%. Airtel was the top loser with a fall of 2.33%.
