Sensex fell by more than 400 points: Nifty also fell by 100 points, shares of all sectors including banking, auto fell.

Today, on October 4, the last trading day of the week, the Sensex is trading at the level of 82,050 with a fall of 400 points. There is also a decline of 100 points in Nifty, it is trading at the level of 25,100.

Out of 30 Sensex stocks, 20 are declining and 10 are rising. Of the 50 Nifty stocks, 34 are in the red and 15 are in the red. All sectors of NSE including banking, auto are trading with decline.

Foreign investors sold shares worth ₹15,243.27 crore

  • In the Asian market, Japan's Nikkei is up by 0.47%. At the same time, Hong Kong's Hangseng index is trading with a rise of 2.26% and Korea's Kospi index is trading with a rise of 0.60%.
  • On October 3, the US Dow Jones fell 0.44% to 42,011 and the Nasdaq fell 0.037% to 17,918. The S&P 500 also fell 0.17% to 5,699.
  • According to NSE data, foreign investors (FIIs) sold shares worth ₹15,243.27 crore on October 3. During this period, domestic investors (DIIs) bought shares worth ₹ 12,913.96 crore.

Earlier yesterday i.e. on 3rd October, the fourth biggest fall of the year was seen in the stock market. The Sensex closed at 82,497, down 1,769 points (2.10%). At the same time, Nifty also declined by 546 points (2.12%), it closed at the level of 25,250.

There was more decline in auto, energy, finance and banking shares. There was a decline of more than 4% in the shares of BPCL, Shriram Finance and L&T. He was the top loser of Nifty. JSW Steel stock was the Nifty top gainer with a gain of 1.33%.
