At the same time, BSE Small Cap fell by 2,118 points (3.81%) and closed at 53,530. Out of 30 Sensex stocks, 27 declined and 3 rose. Out of 50 Nifty stocks, 47 declined and 3 rose. All sectors of NSE closed with a decline.
There was mixed trading in Asian markets today
- Reliance, HDFC Bank, Mahindra & Mahindra and Larsen & Toubro were the biggest losers in the market. Whereas, ICICI Bank, HCL Tech and Bajaj Finance pulled the market higher.
- In the Asian market, Japan's Nikkei fell by 1.39%. Whereas Korea's Kospi fell by 1.31% and China's Shanghai Composite rose by 0.54%.
- On October 21, the US Dow Jones fell 0.80% to 42,931 and the S&P 500 fell 0.18% to 5,853. The Nasdaq rose 0.27% to 18,540.
- According to NSE data, foreign investors (FIIs) sold shares worth ₹2,261 crore on October 21. During this period, domestic investors (DIIs) bought shares worth ₹3,225 crore.
Today is the second day of 2 IPOs. Today i.e. 22nd October is the second day of 2 IPOs. These IPOs will be of Deepak Builders and Engineers India Limited and Vaari Energies Limited Company. Investors will be able to bid for this issue till October 23. The company's shares will be listed on Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE) and National Stock Exchange (NSE) on October 28.
