Prime Minister Narendra Modi today, on October 15, inaugurated the eighth edition of the 2024 India Mobile Congress at Pragati Maidan in New Delhi. It is expected to present updates on 6G development in India. This program will be organized till October 18.
Held with the theme 'The Future is Now', the event is likely to showcase use cases of 5G, apart from announcements related to cloud and edge computing, IoT, semiconductor, cyber security, green tech, satcom and electronics. .
More than 120 countries around the world are participating in this tech event. More than 400 exhibitors and about 900 startups have also participated. Tech innovations were shown to PM Modi at the IMC 2024 exhibition. The PM was also accompanied by Union Communications Minister Jyotiraditya Scindia.

PM Modi also inaugurated the World Telecommunication Standardization Assembly (WTSA) 2024, which is being organized by the International Telecommunication Union for the first time in India and the Asia-Pacific region. More than 3,000 industry leaders, policy makers and technical experts from more than 190 countries have participated.
