Zomato's quick commerce company Blinkit has today (October 24) started EMI payment facility for its customers. EMI facility is made available on orders above ₹2,999. However, customers will not be able to avail this facility when purchasing gold and silver coins.
Blinkit CEO Albinder Dhindsa gave this information on social media platform X. He said – We believe that this will improve affordability and make better financial planning possible for our customers.
No cost EMI option can also be available
In the picture shared by CEO Albinder Dhindsa on X, the option of no cost EMI along with 15% interest on annual basis is also visible. However, no cost EMI option is currently not visible in the app, the option to place orders with normal EMI option has become available.
Zomato's profit increased by 388% in the second quarter, in this Blinkit's earnings also included
Zomato's profit in the July-September quarter has increased by 388% on an annual basis to Rs 176 crore. The company's consolidated net profit in the same quarter a year ago was Rs 36 crore.
On October 22, the results of the second quarter of the financial year 2024-25 were released, which also includes the earnings from Blinkit.
The company's revenue in the second quarter increased by 68.50% to Rs 4,799 crore. Revenue in the same quarter a year ago was Rs 2,848 crore.
