2. A new record of transactions through UPI was created in the festive season: 1,658 crore transactions were done, ₹ 23.50 lakh crore was transferred.
In October, 1,658 crore transactions were done through UPI (Unified Payment Interface). During this period an amount of Rs 23.50 lakh crore was transferred. The number of transactions has increased by 45% compared to October last year.
UPI was launched in April 2016. This is the highest and biggest transaction done in a single month since then. In October 2023, 1,141 crore transactions were done through UPI and an amount of Rs 17.16 lakh crore was transferred through it.

Tata Motors has launched petrol and diesel versions of its most popular car Nexon with panoramic sunroof. It is available in the top-of-the-line Fearless Plus PS trim. Its price has been kept at Rs 13.6 lakh for petrol MT, Rs 14.8 lakh for petrol DCT, Rs 15 lakh for diesel MT and Rs 15.6 lakh for diesel AMT (all prices ex-showroom).
The sub-4 meter SUV comes with over 60 connecting features in four trims – Smart, Pure, Creative and Fearless. Apart from this, advanced features of comfort and safety have been added.
