Flat trading in stock market today: Sensex fell by 50 points and Nifty by 30 points, IT sector shares fell the most

There is flat trading in the stock market today i.e. on 18 September. Sensex opened at 83,030 with a fall of 50 points. At the same time, Nifty has also fallen by 30 points, it is trading at the level of 25,390.

Out of the 30 Sensex stocks, 18 are up and 12 are down. Out of the 50 Nifty stocks, 28 are up and 22 are down. IT sector stocks have seen the biggest decline.

Asian markets boom

  • Mixed trading was seen in the Asian market today. Japan's Nikkei index rose by 0.71% and China's Shanghai Composite rose by 0.021%. Hong Kong's Hang Seng also rose by 1.37%.
  • On September 17, the Dow Jones of the US market fell 0.038% and closed at 41,606. Whereas the Nasdaq rose 0.20% and closed at 17,628. The S&P500 closed at 5,634 with a gain of 0.026%.
  • According to NSE data, foreign investors (FIIs) bought shares worth Rs 482.69 crore on September 17. During this period, domestic investors (DIIs) also bought shares worth Rs 874.15 crore.

Third day of bidding for IPO of Arcade Developers and Northern Arc

Today is the third day of bidding for the Initial Public Offer (IPO) of Arcade Developers Limited and Northern Arc Capital Limited. In two trading days, the IPO of Arcade Developers was subscribed a total of 17.41 times. The issue was subscribed 21.40 times in the retail category, 0.47 times in qualified institutional buyers (QIB) and 29.99 times in the non-institutional investors (NII) category.

At the same time, Northern Arc Capital's IPO was subscribed a total of 10.61 times in two days. The issue was subscribed 11.32 times in the retail category, 0.20 times in qualified institutional buyers (QIB) and 22.55 times in the NII category. The shares of both the companies will be listed on the National Stock Exchange (NSE) and Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE) on September 24.

The stock market was up yesterday Earlier yesterday, on September 17, the Sensex closed at 83,079 with a gain of 90 points. Nifty also gained 34 points and closed at 25,418. Auto, IT and FMCG stocks saw a rise. Metal and banking stocks fell. Hero MotoCorp was the top gainer on Nifty.
