5 people can make payments from one UPI account: Government launched UPI Circle, it allows maximum payment of ₹15,000 in a month

Now you can use the same UPI ID in more than one mobile. The government has launched a new feature 'UPI Circle Delegated Payment Service' in the UPI app. By activating this facility, you will be able to add one or more people to your UPI app. All the added people will be able to make UPI payments from your bank account. Understand this with an example… Suppose you are a parent and pay your child's college fees and other necessary expenses. Or you are a senior citizen who is not comfortable making digital payments. Or you are a busy person who wants to hand over the responsibility of household expenses to others. Or you are a business owner who does not want to give petty cash to his employees. All people like you can give access to their bank account up to a limit to the people dependent on them through UPI Circle. The person you add to the UPI circle will be the secondary user and you will be the primary user. What is UPI Circle? UPI Circle is a digital solution in which the user making the payment can give permission to a person to transact from the UPI account with the required limit. It gives permission to transact from its account with minimum intervention and low risk to secondary users. What is full and partial delegation? Answers to some important questions that you should know… Question: Who can use UPI Circle? Answer: The primary user who has a bank and UPI account can create a UPI circle. The people who will be added to it will be able to make UPI payments. Question: What is the benefit of UPI Circle? Answer: Through this facility, people living at different places will be able to make UPI payments from the same account. It can be most beneficial in case of emergency or lack of account. Question: How will authorization control work? Answer: The primary user will have full control of all secondary users. Without his permission, no secondary user will be able to make payment. Question: Is it necessary for the secondary user to have a bank account to use UPI Circle? Answer: No, this feature has been made keeping in mind those people who do not have a bank account. Question: Can the secondary user make all types of payments with this facility? Answer: No, the secondary user can only make merchant and personal transactions with this facility.
