According to a survey report, 67% of students in the country are keen to start their own business within 10 years of graduation. According to the Economic Survey 2023-24, the number of tech startups in the country has increased by more than 15 times during the 10-year period from 2014 to now. The youth are seeing the future in it. According to a study by AI-based recruitment automation firm Hire Pro, 15% of college students want to start their own business immediately after graduation. While 23% students are planning to start their own startup after 2-3 years. 29% of students are planning to start their own business 5-10 years after graduation. The report is based on interviews with more than 20 thousand candidates, more than 350 colleges and 200 corporates along with more than 100 campuses and talent selection companies. College campuses are also now promoting entrepreneurship 63% of colleges focus on corporate jobs According to the report, about 87% of colleges in India have started programs to promote entrepreneurship on campus. Even now, 63% of colleges want students to focus on getting a corporate job after graduation rather than starting their own business.
