Tesla shares rise 22% in one day: Elon Musk's net worth rises 11% in one day, assets to ₹22.68 lakh crore

Shares of Elon Musk's electric vehicle maker Tesla surged nearly 22% on October 25. Due to this, Musk's net worth has increased by 26.4 billion dollars i.e. about 2.21 lakh crore rupees in a single day. This is about 11% of Musk's current total net worth.

This is the second biggest intraday gain for Tesla shares. Previously, on May 9, 2013, Tesla's stock had seen its biggest intraday gain. At the same time, Tesla's market cap has now reached 81.62 billion dollars.

The increase was seen in Tesla shares after Q3-2024 results.​​​​​​The rise in Tesla shares has been seen after the company's third quarter results. In Q3-2024 ie the third quarter, the company's total revenue rose 8% year-on-year to $25,182 million. In the same quarter a year ago i.e. Q3-2023, the company's revenue was $23,350 million.

The company's third-quarter net profit rose 20% year-over-year to $4,997 million. In the same quarter a year ago (Q3-2023), the company's total profit was $4,178 million.
