Sensex opened at 81,887 with a gain of 121 points on the last trading day of the week on December 6. The Nifty is also trading up 20 points at 24,730.
Out of 30 stocks in Sensex, 24 are rising and 6 are falling. Out of 50 stocks in Nifty, 37 are rising and 13 are falling. All the NSE sectoral indices are trading at a bullish pace except the IT sector.
Foreign investors bought shares worth ₹8,539.91 crore
- In Asian markets, Japan's Nikkei is down 0.90% and Korea's Kospi is down 0.52%. While China's Shanghai Composite Index is trading with an increase of 1.04%.
- Foreign investors (FIIs) bought shares worth ₹8,539.91 crore on December 5, according to NSE data. During this period, domestic investors (DIIs) sold shares worth ₹2,303.64 crore.
- On December 5, America's Dow Jones closed down 0.55% at 44,765. The S&P 500 fell 0.19% to 6,075 and the Nasdaq fell 0.17% to 19,700.
Suraksha Diagnostics Limited Shares Listing Today
Shares of Suraksha Diagnostics Limited will be listed on Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE) and National Stock Exchange (NSE) today. Its initial public offering i.e. IPO was open from November 29 to December 3. The IPO was subscribed a total of 1.27 times.
Yesterday, the market was bullish
Earlier yesterday i.e. December 5, the Sensex had recovered 1,298 points from the day's low of 80,467. It closed at 81,765 with an increase of 809 points after the day's trade. The Nifty also improved by 413 points from the day's low of 24,295. It closed at 24,708, up 240 points.
Out of 30 Sensex stocks, 28 were up and 2 were down. Out of 50 stocks in Nifty, 41 were up and 9 were down. The IT sector was the top performer in the NSE sectoral index with a gain of 1.95%. While PSU banks and realty sector closed lower.
