Today i.e. on October 10, the Sensex jumped by more than 400 points. Nifty also jumped by 100 points.
Out of 30 Sensex stocks, 26 advanced and 4 declined. Out of 50 Nifty stocks, 44 advanced and 6 declined. All sectoral indices of NSE are trading briskly.
Foreign investors sold shares worth ₹4,562.71 crore
- In Asian markets, Japan's Nikkei is up 0.30%. Hong Kong's Hang Seng Index is trading up 3.53% and China's Shanghai Composite is trading up 1.73%.
- On October 9, the US Dow Jones Industrial Average rose 1.03% to 42,512 and the Nasdaq gained 0.60% to 18,291. The S&P 500 also rose 0.71% to 5,792.
- Foreign investors (FIIs) sold shares worth ₹4,562.71 crore on October 9, according to NSE data. During this period, domestic investors (DIIs) bought shares worth ₹ 3,508.61 crore.
Today is the last day to bid for Garuda Construction's IPO
Today is the last day to bid for Garuda Construction and Engineering Ltd's IPO. The IPO was oversubscribed 4.12 times in two days. The issue was subscribed 6.76 times in retail category, 0.91 times in qualified institutional buyers (QIB) category and 2.59 times in non-institutional investors (NII) category.
Yesterday the market saw a decline
Earlier yesterday i.e. on October 9, the Sensex closed down 167 points at the level of 81,467. The Nifty also closed down 31 points at 24,981.
At the same time, BSE Small Cap rose 670 points to close at 56,110. Out of 30 shares of Sensex, 17 were up and 13 were down. Out of 50 Nifty stocks, 31 declined and 19 advanced.
