A surge is being seen in the stock market today i.e. on 14th October. The Sensex is trading at 81,700, up over 250 points. At the same time the Nifty is seeing a surge of over 50 points, trading at the 25,000 level.
Metal, IT and banking stocks are witnessing further growth today. While FMCG and auto shares are trading under pressure.
Mixed business in the Asian market
- Asian markets are witnessing mixed business. Hong Kong's Hang Seng is down 0.66%. While China's Shanghai Composite is trading with an increase of 1.01%.
- On October 10, America's Dow Jones closed up 0.97% at 42,863 and the Nasdaq closed up 0.33% at 18,342. The S&P 500 also rose 0.61% to 5,815.
- According to NSE data, foreign investors (FIIs) sold shares worth ₹4,162.66 crore on October 11. Domestic investors (DIIs) bought shares worth ₹ 3,730.87 crore during the period.
Opportunity to invest in Hyundai India's IPO from tomorrow
Hyundai India's Initial Public Offer (IPO) will open on October 15. Investors can bid for this issue till October 17. The shares of the company will be listed in the market on October 22. The company has fixed its price band at Rs 1,865-1,960. For this, a bid of at least 13,720 rupees has to be made.
The market saw a decline on Friday
Earlier on October 11, the stock market saw a decline. The Sensex closed down 230 points at 81,381. The Nifty also declined by 34 points, closing at 24,964.
