Today on the day of Kalichaudas i.e. 29th October Sensex is trading at 80,100 level with a drop of around 200 points. The Nifty is down 70 points, trading at 24,350.
Out of 30 stocks in Sensex, 25 are falling and 5 are rising. Out of 50 Nifty stocks, 36 are falling and 14 are rising. The biggest fall in the NSE sectoral indices was in the pharma index. They are down about 1.50%.
Mixed business in the Asian market
- In Asian markets, Japan's Nikkei is up 1.25%. While Korea's Kospi is trading with a fall of 0.70% and China's Shanghai Composite is trading with a fall of 0.14%.
- Afcons Infrastructure Limited's IPO was subscribed 2.77 times on the last day of bidding. The company's shares will be listed on BSE-NSE on November 4.
- On October 29, America's Dow Jones closed down 0.36% at 42,233.05 and the S&P 500 closed up 0.16% at 5,832.92. The Nasdaq rose 0.78% to 18,712.75.
- Foreign investors (FIIs) sold shares worth ₹16,057.19 crore on October 29, according to NSE data. Domestic investors (DIIs) bought shares worth ₹12,823.77 crore during this period.
Yesterday the market saw a boom
Yesterday i.e. on Dhanteras (October 29), the Sensex recovered 948 points from the day's low of 79,421. It closed at 80,369 with an increase of 363 points after the day's trade. The Nifty also recovered 326 points from the day's low of 24,140 to close at 24,466, up 127 points.
Out of 30 Sensex stocks, 17 advanced and 13 declined. Out of 50 Nifty stocks, 31 advanced and 18 declined. One share was unchanged. NSE's financial services shares were the biggest gainers.
Afcons Infrastructure IPO was subscribed 2.73 times in the last day Yesterday, October 29, was the last day to bid for the IPO of Afcons Infrastructure Limited, a company operating in the transport, construction, oil and gas sector.
By 4 pm this Afcons infrastructure total was subscribed 2.73 times. The company's shares will be listed on the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE) and the National Stock Exchange (NSE) on November 4.
