Today i.e., on November 8, the Sensex is trading at 79,400, down over 100 points. The Nifty is also down 50 points, trading at 24,140.
Out of 30 stocks in Sensex, 23 are falling and 7 are rising. Out of 50 Nifty stocks, 36 are falling and 14 are rising. All sectoral indices of NSE are trading lower except IT sector.
Foreign investors sold shares worth ₹4,888.77 crore
- In Asian markets, Japan's Nikkei is 0.34% higher. While Korea's Kospi is trading with an increase of 0.54% and China's Shanghai Composite is trading with an increase of 0.15%.
- On November 7, the US Dow Jones Industrial Average fell 0.0013% to 43,729 and the S&P 500 rose 0.74% to 5,973. The Nasdaq rose 1.51% to 19,269.
- Foreign investors (FIIs) sold shares worth ₹4,888.77 crore on November 7, according to NSE data. During this period, domestic investors (DIIs) bought shares worth ₹1,786.70 crore.
Today is the last day to bid for the IPO of Swiggy and ACME Solar Holdings Today is the last day to bid for the IPO of Swiggy Ltd and ACME Solar Holdings Ltd. Swiggy's IPO was oversubscribed 0.35 times in two days. The issue was subscribed 0.84 times in retail category, 0.28 times in qualified institutional buyers (QIB) category and 0.14 times in non-institutional investors (NII) category.
At the same time, ACME Solar Holdings' IPO was oversubscribed 0.74 times in two days. The issue was subscribed 2.16 times in retail category, 0.33 times by qualified institutional buyers (QIB) and 0.59 times in non-institutional investors (NII) category. Shares of both companies will be listed on Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE) and National Stock Exchange (NSE) on November 13.
The market closed lower yesterday Earlier yesterday i.e. on November 7, Sensex closed down 836 points at 79,541. The Nifty also fell by 284 points to close at 24,199.
Out of 30 Sensex stocks, 29 were down and 1 was up. Out of 50 Nifty stocks, 46 declined and 4 advanced. All sectoral indices of NSE closed lower. The metal sector recorded the highest decline of 2.73%.
