- The wealth of the country's top 100 richest people crossed Rs.90 lakh crore for the first time
While the Indian economy is progressing rapidly, the number of rich people in the country is continuously increasing. For the first time this year, the wealth of the country's top 100 richest people has crossed 1 trillion dollars i.e. 90 lakh crore rupees. His wealth has increased by over 40% to Rs 93.64 lakh crore in a year. Compared to the Corona year 2020, his wealth has more than doubled. As compared to 2023, the assets have increased by 26.50 lakh crores.
The rise in wealth of the 100 richest Indians this year was largely due to gains in stocks rather than gains in business profits. Sensex has gained around 30% in a year. According to a Forbes report, more than 80 percent of the richest Indians in the top-100 “India's 100 Richest 2024” have become richer than before. The wealth of 58 people has increased by more than 1 billion dollars i.e. 8,397 crore rupees.
Mukesh Ambani tops again, 13th richest in the world Reliance Industries Chairman and MD Mukesh Ambani has been the country's richest businessman this year as well. His wealth has increased by Rs 2.31 lakh crore to more than Rs 10 lakh crore in one year. With this he has become the 13th richest person in the world. He is the highest earning person in the country in dollar terms. Adani is second but his wealth has grown more than Ambani, Adani Group Chairman Gautam Adani is the second richest person in the country. His wealth has increased by 4 lakh crore rupees in one year. OP Jindal Group's Savitri Jindal has reached the third position in the Forbes India list. His wealth has increased by 82% to Rs 3.67 lakh crore in just one year.
