PM Modi announces 18th tranche of Kisan-Samman Nidhi: Rs 20 thousand crore transferred to accounts of over 9.4 crore farmers

​​​​​​​Prime Minister Narendra Modi announced the 18th installment of PM Kisan Samman Nidhi today i.e. 5th October (Saturday). This time, PM Modi has sent an installment of Rs 2,000 to the accounts of more than 9.4 crore farmers from Washim in Maharashtra. A total amount of more than 20 thousand crore rupees has been transferred as the 18th installment. Under this scheme, 91.5 lakh farmers of Maharashtra have got direct benefit of more than 2000 crore rupees.

Under this scheme, the government gives Rs 6,000 to the farmers every year in 3 installments of Rs 2,000 each. First installment is announced between April-July, second installment between August-November and third installment between December-March. Under this scheme, the government has so far disbursed more than Rs 3 lakh crore to farmers' accounts in 17 installments.

9.26 crore farmers have benefited in the 17th installment

The Prime Minister announced the 17th installment of the PM Kisan Samman Nidhi on June 18. Subsequently, an installment of Rs 2000 was deposited in the accounts of 9.26 crore farmers. That is, a total amount of 20 thousand crore rupees was transferred. This scheme was launched in 2019 to provide financial assistance to farmers.

Here in the drop down options related to account number, payment, aadhaar and other issues are given. Select it according to your problem and also write its description below. Submit now.

Eligible beneficiaries of the scheme can also register themselves through Common Service Center (CSC). Besides, only the local Patwari, Revenue Officer and Nodal Officer nominated by the State Government for this scheme are registering the farmers.

All farmers get benefits under PM Kisan Yojana

Initially when the PM-Kisan scheme was launched (February, 2019), its benefits were only for small and marginal farmer families. It included farmers who had joint holdings of up to 2 hectares. In June 2019, the scheme was revised and extended to all farming households.

However, some farmers are still deprived of this scheme. People excluded from PM Kisan are institutionalized land holders, peasant families holding constitutional positions, serving or retired officers and employees of state or central government. It also includes officers and employees of public sector undertakings and government autonomous bodies.

Apart from this, professionals like doctors, engineers and lawyers as well as Rs. Retired pensioners with a monthly pension of more than 10,000 and who paid income tax in the previous assessment year are also excluded from the scheme.
