Many big announcements were made in the Modi Cabinet meeting on Wednesday. On one hand central employees have been gifted with 3 percent DA increase and on the other hand the government has also given a big Diwali gift to farmers. In fact, the Center has increased the Minimum Support Price (MSP) of rabi season crops. In which the price of wheat crop has been increased by Rs 150 per quintal and that of mustard crop by Rs 300 per quintal.
Increase in support prices on these crops The Cabinet meeting also decided to increase the MSP of Rabi crops, which is a big Diwali gift for farmers. According to the report, the government has fixed a new minimum support price (MSP) for the rabi crop for the marketing season 2025-26. Under this, the MSP of wheat has been increased by Rs 150 per quintal to Rs 2,425, which was Rs 2,275 per quintal till now. The support price on mustard has been increased by Rs 300 per quintal from Rs 5,650 per quintal to Rs 5,950 per quintal. Similarly, it has been decided to increase the support price of gram by Rs 210 per quintal and its new MSP to Rs 5,650 per quintal from Rs 5,440 per quintal earlier.
Apart from this, the MSP on lentils has been increased by Rs 275 per quintal from Rs 6,425 to Rs 6,700 per quintal. The price of sunflower rose by Rs 140 from Rs 5,800 to Rs 5,940.
