Indian Railways' online ticket booking service provider IRCTC will announce its July-September quarter results today. IRCTC's revenue is expected to grow by 4% year-on-year to around ₹1,170 crore, while the company's profit is expected to grow by around 7%.
IRCTC provides catering and tourism services in railways. The company also runs 2 Tejas trains. 12.38 lakh tickets are booked daily through its website and mobile app. The company also provides flight and bus travel booking facilities.
IRCTC shares down 20% in 6 months, down 3% today Ahead of the results, IRCTC shares fell 3% to around Rs. 800 is being traded. This year the company's stock has given negative returns of 10% and 20% in 6 months. At the same time, IICT shares have gained 20% in the last one year.
IRCTC's profit rose 32.75% in the first quarter Indian Railway Catering and Tourism Corporation Limited's profit for the first quarter (April-June) of FY 2024-25 was ₹308 crore, up 32.75% year-on-year (YoY). Consolidated net profit was ₹ 232 crore in the same quarter a year ago.
The company's revenue has grown 11.88% year-on-year. Income from operations in Q1FY25 was ₹1,120 crore. Revenue was ₹1,001 crore in the same quarter a year ago. IRCTC announced its first quarter results on August 13.
