BSNL Launches Automated Kiosk: SIM Card Can Be Purchased & Upgraded, 7 New Services Launched; The logo also changed

State-owned Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL) on Tuesday launched 7 new services, including SIM kiosks. Telecom Minister Jyotiraditya Scindia has launched these services. The telecom company's new logo has also been unveiled.

1. National Wi-Fi Roaming for Fiber Internet Customers: BSNL has launched National Wi-Fi roaming service for its fiber internet customers. This means users can enjoy high-speed internet on BSNL hotspots without any additional charges.

2. BSNL Announces New Fiber-Based TV Service: BSNL has announced a new fiber-based TV service that includes more than 500 live channels and pay TV options. All of these are available to Fiber Internet customers at no additional cost.

3. Kiosks for buying and upgrading SIM cards: The company wants to simplify the management of its SIM cards through automated kiosks. These kiosks will help people easily buy, upgrade or switch their SIM cards on a 24X7 basis.

BSNL showcased Automated SIM Kiosk (Any Time SIM) at IMC 2024.

4. Launch of India's first direct-to-device service: BSNL has launched India's first direct-to-device (D2D) connectivity solution, which combines satellite and mobile networks. This service is for emergency and remote areas.

5. A spam-blocking solution for a secure network: BSNL's spam-blocking solution automatically filters out phishing attempts and malicious SMS. It aims to create a secure communication environment for telecom users.

6. Launch of Public Protection and Disaster Relief Solution: BSNL has launched Public Protection and Disaster Release Solution. It is a secure, scalable and dedicated network for real-time disaster response, communication and public safety.

7. Introduced private 5G network for mining operations: In collaboration with C-DAC, BSNL introduced a private 5G network for mining operations. This network will provide high-speed and low-latency connectivity in underground and large open-pit mines.

Pan India launched a new logo ahead of the 4G service launch

BSNL launched a new logo ahead of the launch of its Pan India 4G services. Union Communications Minister Jyotiraditya Scindia and Union Minister of State for Communications and Rural Development Pemmasani Chandra Shekhar unveiled the new logo at an event in New Delhi. The logo reflects the mission of “Connecting India – Secure, Affordable and Reliable”.

BSNL recharge will not be expensive in near future

BSNL Chairman and ND Robert Ravi said that we can clearly say that we will not increase our tariffs in the near future. We want to keep customers happy and win their trust. We do not see the need to increase tariffs in the near future.
