BJP's win in Maharashtra sparks markets: Sensex surges over 1200 points, Nifty also surges; All sectoral indices of NSE rose

Today, November 25, the first business day of the week, the Sensex is trading at 80,350 with a surge of over 1200 points. The Nifty is also trading at 24,300, up 390 points.

All 30 stocks of Sensex are trading higher. Out of 50 Nifty stocks, 49 are advancing and 1 is declining. All sectoral indices of NSE are trading bullish.

Foreign investors sold shares worth ₹1,278.37 crore

  • In Asian markets, Japan's Nikkei rose 1.53% and Korea's Kospi rose 1.61%. While China's Shanghai Composite Index is trading with a rise of 0.013%.
  • On November 22, the US Dow Jones Industrial Average closed up 0.97% at 44,296 and the S&P 500 closed up 0.35% at 5,969. The Nasdaq also closed up 0.16% at 19,003.
  • According to NSE data, foreign investors (FIIs) sold shares worth ₹1,278.37 crore on November 22. Meanwhile, domestic investors (DIIs) bought shares worth ₹1,722.15 crore.

Today is the second day of bidding for the IPO of Enviro Infra Engineers

Today is the second day of bidding for Enviro Infra Engineers Limited's IPO. This total was subscribed 2.09 times on the first day. Investors can bid for this issue till tomorrow i.e. 26th November. The company's shares will be listed on the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE) and the National Stock Exchange (NSE) on November 29.

The issue size of this IPO is ₹ 650.43 crore. The company plans to issue a total of 4,39,48,000 shares. It involves a fresh issue of 3,86,80,000 new shares, while the promoters will sell 52,68,000 shares. The face value of each share is fixed at ₹10.

The market closed on a bullish note on Friday

Earlier on Friday i.e. November 22, the Sensex closed at 79,117 with an increase of 1961 points (2.54%). The Nifty also rose 557 points (2.39%) to close at 23,907.

Out of 30 Sensex stocks, 29 advanced and 1 declined. Out of 50 Nifty stocks, 49 were gainers and 1 were decliners. All NSE sectoral indices closed higher except Nifty Media. IT and realty indices were the biggest gainers.

This was the biggest rally in the stock market in 5 months. The Sensex rose 2,507 points to close at 76,468 on June 3, a day before the Lok Sabha election results. While the Nifty rose 733 points to close at 23,263.
