One of the largest fulfillment centers of Amazon, the world's largest online shopping company, is located in Nashville, about 1400 km from New York, right here in MQY-1… A huge center spread over 32 lakh sqft. Countless QR codes on the floor. Thousands of robots work in this. They are picking up the packages, scanning them and sending them out for delivery. The center has 5 floors and each floor is as big as 13 football fields. That means a campus as big as 65 football fields. Around 7 thousand robots can send 5 lakh orders per day from here. If humans did this work, it would take about 25 thousand people to find and pack 5 lakh orders in such a large warehouse. Amazon's VP of Worldwide Selling Partner Services AI will change the face of online shopping in a few years, says Dharmesh Mehta.
AI is changing online shopping From maintaining inventory to delivering goods to customers' homes, robots are helping with full capacity at the Nashville-based MQY-1 center.
Amazon Robotics Chief Technologist Ty Brady says that along with the investment in robots, 700 types of new jobs related to robotics have also been created in Amazon. Dharmesh Mehta, VP of Worldwide Selling at Amazon, says that we have brought AI for sellers as well. Today we have ideas from AI Amelia to how to brand your seller's product to campaigns.
This approach to AI is also changing the shopping experience; 1. Rufus system helps customers to select products: Rufus is an AI powered shopping assistant. This helps the customers to explain the product description, give product ideas and make fair comparisons with other products. 2.Review Highlight gives a summary of the review: With the help of this system, the customers get a one-paragraph summary of the reviews given by the customers for a product. This helps them to choose the product. 3. AI shopping guide explains the product : Amazon has recently launched AI guide. This gives information about the feature of the product chosen by the customers. It gives information about top brands. Tells what to buy based on need.
7.5 lakh robots are working in Amazon's warehouses in America Amazon has the largest army of industrial mobile robots in the world, says Ty Brady, chief technologist at Amazon Robotics. More than 7.5 lakh robots are working in Amazon's warehouses.
From order entry to delivery…robots are working like this Spyro-Searches orders from 20 million items in seconds Spyro recognizes more than 20 million different products. This order sorts the goods in seconds with the help of computer vision and places them in the trolley. AI Tunnel- Sorts bad goods in packing Products for packaging come out of an AI tunnel, where items such as product, damage, expiry etc. are scanned with the help of computer vision. Packing Station- Address is pasted to prepare the packet As the order arrives, the machine scans the shape of the goods, making the packet based on it. Here the address is affixed to the goods. Then sealed and prepared for delivery. A robin-order is forwarded by looking at the delivery address. This robotic arm identifies and picks up the right goods. Again another robot keeps in Pegasus. Pegasus puts him in a trolley. Others take the robot to the van. Delivery Van- Parcel light turns on as soon as it arrives at the address The latest delivery vans are equipped with Vision Assistant Package Retrieval. In which the parcel is not found by reaching the address, but the green light turns on automatically near the parcel.
