'Kannappa' first look released: Akshay Kumar to play Lord Shiva, Kajal Aggarwal to play Parvati's avatar

Akshay Kumar's first look of Kannappa, one of the biggest films of the year 2025, has been released. Akshay Kumar will be seen in the role of Lord Shiva in this mythological film. Kajal Aggarwal will be seen in the role of Parvati.

Akshay Kumar has shared a new poster of the film on his Instagram. Akshay Kumar shared a poster of him holding a trident in one hand and a damru in the other and wrote, 'Stepping into the holy aura of Mahadev for the film Kannappa.' Before Akshay, Kajal Aggarwal's look from the film 'Kannappa' has also been released. In the poster released in early 2025, Kajal Aggarwal was seen in the role of Parvati. Before Kajal Aggarwal, the role was offered to Nupur Sanon, however, she turned down the film due to schedule conflicts. After this, Nayantara was offered the role of Parvati. Kajal Aggarwal was finally cast in this role.

Prabhas is to play the role of Nandi in this film. However, if reports are to be believed, he will be doing a cameo in the film. At present, his look has not been revealed. Apart from this, Mohan Babu, Vishnu Manchu, Madhu will be seen in important roles in the film. The screenplay of the film has also been prepared by actor Vishnu Manchu.

The movie 'Kannappa' will release on April 25 Mukesh Kumar Singh is directing the Telugu language film 'Kannappa'. The film is releasing on 25th April.

Akshay Kumar was embroiled in controversies after playing the role of Shiva in 'OMG 2' Before the film Kannappa, Akshay Kumar played the role of Lord Shiva in the 2023 film 'Oh My God 2'. After the release of the trailer of the film, Akshay Kumar's role was heavily criticized. The priests of the Mahakal temple also sent a legal notice to the makers of the film for wrongly showing the form of Lord Shiva.
