Farah Khan recalls childhood poverty: I didn't even have money to run the house, my father died when I was 15

Film director, producer and choreographer Farah Khan recently celebrated her 60th birthday. Meanwhile, an old video of him is going viral on social media. In this video, she is talking about her personal life. He said that he faced many hardships in his life, there was a time when he did not even have money to run the house.

Farah told about his childhood Farah Khan said in a conversation with Simi Garewal, 'I have seen a lot as a child. I grew up experiencing childhood trauma and my parents' divorce. All these things made me very strong.'

Farah Khan made his directorial debut in the year 2004 with 'Main Hoo Na'.

I was 15 years old when my father died – Farah​​​​​​Farah further stated that her father died when she was 15 years old. He had to shoulder all the responsibilities of the house after his father. He said, 'Earlier the condition of the house was very good. My father Kamran Khan was a film director. At that time the family did not lack anything. But then one film changed all of our lives.'

Farah Khan started her career as a background dancer

At the time of death, only 30 rupees remained in the father's pocket – FarahFarah said – My father spent a lot of money and made the film. But, when the film was released in theatres, it was badly beaten. After this our family circumstances completely changed. Due to the grief of non-release of the film and the deteriorating situation at home, my father got into the habit of drinking alcohol. He had only 30 rupees in his pocket when he died.

Farah said, when such situations come in life, a person changes a lot. His behavior changes, he starts harboring anger and resentment towards people in his heart. But I decided to always remember the good days.

Sajid and I tell each other stories – Farah​​​​​​During the conversation, Farah also shared stories about her childhood with brother Sajid Khan. He said- Sajid and I always remember those days with a smile. We tell each other funny stories since childhood.

Farah Khan is among the top directors today.

After this Farah also directed his first film 'Main Hoon Na', starring Shah Rukh in the lead role. The film was a blockbuster and after this film Farah became a top director. After this Farah has directed many films.
