The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has changed the venues of the tri-series with New Zealand and South Africa. The 4-match series was earlier scheduled to be held in Multan, but now the matches will be played in Lahore and Karachi. 7 Champions Trophy matches are also to be held at these 2 venues.
PCB renovated both the stadiums for the Champions Trophy. The triangular series will start from February 8. Along with the tri-series, we have decided that both venues are ready for the Champions Trophy, the PCB said in a statement. The third venue of the tournament is Rawalpindi.
PCB is fully ready for match The PCB released a statement saying, 'Renovation work of Gaddafi Stadium in Lahore and National Cricket Stadium in Karachi is almost complete. That is why the board allowed both the venues to host the ODI tri-series. Earlier, the series between New Zealand, South Africa and Pakistan was scheduled to be held in Multan.
The tri-series between Pakistan, New Zealand and South Africa will start from February 8 and will last until February 14.
Not a single match of the Test season was held PCB had started renovating stadiums in Lahore, Karachi and Rawalpindi to host the Champions Trophy last year. Due to renovations, the team's 7 home Tests could not be played here either. The Test against England was supposed to be held in Karachi, but was held in Multan. Two Test matches will be played against West Indies in Multan in January.

The Rawalpindi Stadium underwent minor changes, due to which international and domestic matches were also played here.

The stadium will be ready before the deadline The PCB said, 'Gaddafi Stadium will be inaugurated in the last week of January.' The board assured the fans, spectators and media that the entire upgradation work will be completed before the deadline.
Champions Trophy from 19th February The triangular series will be played from February 8 to 14. The Champions Trophy will begin four days later on February 19. 10 matches of the tournament will be played in Pakistan and 5 in Dubai. Only 4 matches will be played in Lahore, 3 in Karachi and 3 in Rawalpindi. India will play all its matches in Dubai.
