The first match of the Test series between Zimbabwe and Afghanistan is being played in Bulawayo. Zimbabwe scored 586 runs in the first innings on Friday. Shaun Williams, captain Craig Irwin and Brian Bennett scored centuries for the team. By the end of the second day's play, Afghanistan had lost 2 wickets for 95 runs.

Williams' century on day one On Thursday, Zimbabwe won the toss and elected to bat. Joylord Gumbi was dismissed for 9 runs. Ben Curran played an innings of 68 runs, before T Cayetano scored 46 runs. After the wicket of Ben Curran, Shaun Williams combined with Kaytano to take the score past 150. He scored a century.
Ben Curran scored 68 runs in his debut Test. He is the brother of England all-rounders Sam and Tom Curran.
