Varun Dhawan and Shraddha Kapoor are childhood friends. Once when her father Shakti Kapoor and David Dhawan were shooting for a film, 8-year-old Shraddha was also present on the set. She fell in love with Varun. She even took Varun to the hills to propose. However, this proposal was rejected by the actor. Enraged by this, Shraddha beat up Varun.

He started fighting with me and then started beating me. He asked those boys to kill me because I didn't accept the proposal.
Varun said- I regretted my decision after seeing the beauty of Shraddha Varun further said – Shraddha became very beautiful in her teenage years. We were in different schools. There was a dandiya competition in his school, in which I also participated. There too I got into trouble because I hit someone with a dandiya stick. I was part of saving lives. As I was trying to hide, I saw a girl walking slowly. It was Shraddha Kapoor. Shraddha was looking very beautiful that day. That day, I regretted rejecting him. Then we became friends.
