Telangana Congress MLA Bhupathi Reddy has threatened actor Allu Arjun over the stampede at the screening of 'Pushpa-2'. He said on Tuesday that any kind of criticism against CM Revanth Reddy will not be tolerated. If Allu Arjun comments on CM Reddy, his films will not be released in the state.
Bhupathi said that Allu Arjun, a resident of Andhra, had come to Telangana only for work. He has not made any significant contribution to Telangana. So they should be careful while commenting on the state government. Pushpa is not a film to benefit the society, it is a story of a smuggler.
The actor rejected the Chief Minister's statements But Allu Arjun later dismissed CM Revanth Reddy's allegations on December 21 and called the incident an accident. The actor clarified that his presence at the theater was not a procession or a road show. He further said that he is not against any department, political leader or government. The controversy in Telangana shows the mutual conflict between cinema and politics.
