Arjun Kapoor has revealed that he was 10 years old when his parents divorced. Due to this, his childhood did not go well. Arjun said that he feels very sad when he looks back and remembers those times. Arjun also revealed that his mother Mona Shourie passed away during the release of his first film 'Ishaqzaade'. This was also the most difficult moment of his life.
Arjun said – Bonding with father was not good before. In an interview to Raj Shamani, Arjun Kapoor said- My parents got separated when I was 10 years old. At this time father was busy making two big films. There was pressure on him to release films soon. This is the reason why we never had a normal relationship between father and son. They never even came to drop me off at school. It wasn't that he didn't try, but it just didn't happen. It's a little painful when you look back. It also affects your life.
Arjun now shares a good bond with his father Arjun further said that now his relationship with his father has improved. Regarding this he said – now that I spend more time with him, there has been a bonding between me and him. I am 39 years old. For the last 5 years, I have spent most of my time with him.
Lost mother at age 25 Arjun Kapoor also recalled the time when his mother Mona Shourie passed away. That said – it's hard to unpack your old memories when you've been through a big loss. If you look at my life there has been a lot of trauma. I lost my mother when I was 25 years old. This incident took place before the release of the first film Ishaqzaade. It was a very painful time. On one hand I was about to start my career, on the other hand I had lost my biggest support.
