Ravichandran Ashwin retires from all formats of cricket: Today was my last day with the Indian team, said at the press conference after the match

Team India's star all-rounder Ravichandran Ashwin has announced his retirement from all formats of cricket. After the match, he came to the press conference with Rohit Sharma. And announced his retirement in a press conference. He said that I am retiring from all formats of cricket. Today was my last day with the Indian team.

With the series tied at 1–1, Ashwin announced his retirement after performing in the second Test in Adelaide. The veteran off-spinner was seen having a long chat with senior batsman and former Indian captain Virat Kohli in the dressing room during the tee-break on the fifth day.

Ashwin ended an illustrious 14-year career, India's second-highest Test wicket-taker, with 537 wickets in 106 Tests. The 38-year-old hit 37 Test five-fours, second only to Muttiah Muralitharan (67).
