Singer and actor Diljit Dosanjh is in the limelight these days due to his musical tour 'Dil-Luminati'. Meanwhile, he has been embroiled in controversies over one of his social media posts. In fact, Diljit spelled Punjab as 'PANJAB' in his recent post, after which he was trolled a lot on social media. Now he clarified this saying how many times I have to prove that I love India.
Actually, Diljit Dosanjh was going to perform a concert in Chandigarh, which he informed on social media. But in the meantime he spelled Punjab as 'PANJAB', after which there was a controversy. Now the singer has tweeted clarifying this. He wrote, 'If there is a flag with Punjab in a single tweet, it is a conspiracy. Controversy arose when a tweet mentioned the Bengaluru event. If Punjab is written as 'Punjab' it is a conspiracy. Whether Punjab is spelled 'Punjab' or 'Punjab', Punjab will always be Punjab.'
Diljit also explained the meaning of his tweet and also said, 'I will write 'Punjab' in Punjabi in future too, I know you won't mind. Keep moving… Now how many times do I have to prove that I love India. Do something new, dude, or is this the only job you've got?
Many fans are reacting to this post of Diljit. He wrote that the singer does not need to respond to trollers. Reacting to this, Diljit said that there is no problem. Otherwise, these people will repeatedly tweet to prove false claims. For this reason it is very important to deal with it.
Know how the controversy happened Notably, the singer's post sparked controversy when singer Guru Randhawa also posted a post spelling Punjab 'PUNJAB', and also added an emoji of the Indian national flag.
Apart from this, Guru Randhawa in his next post also appealed to people to come together and support the country. He wrote, 'My soil, my country is the best country in the world.
Although Guru Randhawa did not name anyone in this post, people believe that he targeted Diljit Dosanj through this post.
Notably, when India and Pakistan were partitioned in 1947, Punjab was also divided into two parts. Punjab, which is a part of Pakistan, is spelled as 'PANJAB' in English, while in India it is spelled 'PUNJAB'.
