Mumbai again crowned champions in Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy: Shadg hits 36 off 15 balls to defeat Madhya Pradesh by 5 wickets in final

Mumbai has won Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy title for the second time in 3 years. The team defeated Madhya Pradesh by 5 wickets in the final played in Bengaluru on Sunday. Batting first at the Chinnaswamy Stadium, MP scored 174 runs. Mumbai chased down the target by losing 5 wickets in 17.5 overs.

Suryakumar Yadav scored 48 runs from Mumbai. Suryansh Shedge played an unbeaten innings of 36 runs off 15 balls and Atharva Ankolekar 16 runs off 6 balls. Captain Rajat Patidar from MP scored 81 runs in 40 balls. Earlier, Mumbai also became champions in 2022.

Bad start to MP After losing the toss and coming to bat first, MP got off to a poor start. The team lost 2 wickets in the first 2 overs. Arpit Gaur was dismissed for just 3 runs and wicketkeeper Harsh Gawli was dismissed for just 2 runs. Harpreet Singh Bhatia first batted slowly in the powerplay and was then dismissed for an innings of 15 runs off 23 balls.
