Uttar Pradesh's Noida Police has busted a fake protein powder manufacturing company. Police have arrested three people from Sector-63 of Noida in this case. Fake food material, capsule boxes and materials for making protein powder worth 50 lakhs have been recovered from them.

The matter came to light when a customer bought the company's protein powder online, after consuming it, he developed health problems like liver infection and skin disease. The victim filed a complaint in the Sector-63 police station, after which the police took this action.

  • The average person needs 0.84 grams of protein per kilogram of body weight per day. For example, if a man weighs 85 kg, his body needs about 71 grams of protein per day.
  • For women, 0.75 grams per kilogram of body weight is required. That is, if a woman weighs 70 kg, her body needs 52 grams of protein per day.
  • While pregnant women, people who work out or exercise daily need 0.8 to 1.25 grams of protein per kilogram of body weight per day.
