Shambhu rejects plea to open border: SC lashes out, says- came to file case to show people; Farmers will not march to Delhi tomorrow

On Monday, the Supreme Court rejected a plea filed to open the Shambhu border, which was closed due to farmers' protests. The court said that such cases are already going on in court, then why are such applications being filed repeatedly.

The court further said that by filing the petition, an impression is being created that someone has come here only to show off to people and file a case for publicity. If you'd like to contribute to the petition already underway, you're welcome.

The petition was filed by Gaurav Luthra, a resident of Jalandhar. He demanded that the state governments of Haryana and Punjab along with the central government be directed to open all those state-national highways, including the Shambhu border, for traffic, which have been closed due to farmers. Even before this, a petition is going on in the Supreme Court. After which the Supreme Court formed a committee and asked to mediate by talking to the farmers and the government. However, there is no solution yet.

Meanwhile, on the future strategy of farmers, farmer leader Sarvan Pandher said – no group will leave for Delhi on December 10. The Government of India is confused within itself. This is not in the interest of the country.

Haryana Police has barricaded the farmers at the Shambhu border. This photo is from December 8, when the police did not allow the farmers to march towards Delhi.

3 key takeaways from Pandeer's press conference…

First… A meeting was held with the Haryana Police Administration in Rajpura yesterday. He asked us for one day. So we will give them time. Tomorrow our group will not march towards Delhi.

Second… Haryana administration is saying that you (farmers) are a threat to law and order in Haryana. They switched off the internet. Force was deployed at Khanauri and Dabwali border. What is the need to create this atmosphere of panic?

Third… Ravneet Bittu says walk to Delhi, you will be welcomed. Anil Vij is saying that if he comes like this then the police will welcome him like this. There is a statement from the Agriculture Minister that pedestrians will not be stopped. They should first consult on where to say yes and where to say no.

Haryana Police released the video of removing the barricade

On December 8, 101 farmers tried to reach Delhi from Shambhu border. The police dispersed the farmers using tear gas shells and water cannons. In which 8 farmers were injured. After this, Haryana Police released a video of farmers trying to remove the barricade.
