Massive protest at Diljit Dosanjh's concert in Indore: Bajrang Dal's Chimki- We will not tolerate alcohol, drugs, obscenity; We will be present till the end of the show

In Indore, Bajrang Dal and VHP (Vishwa Hindu Parishad) workers have protested against the concert of actor and singer Diljit Dosanjh. Such events should not be allowed as it is alleged that the concert is promoting consumption of alcohol. They reached the collector office on Sunday morning and protested. Bajrang Dal-VHP activists have warned that they will not tolerate consumption of alcohol and drugs, serving of meat and obscenity in open premises. Our workers will be there till the end of the show. If the police do not act, our workers will respond.

The former minister and BJP MLA said that this program should be cancelled Former minister Usha Thakur and BJP MLA Golu Shukla also came forward in support of the demands of Bajrang Dal and VHP. He said such incidents should not be allowed. The concert is going to be held in the evening at C21 Estate Ground, Bypass, Indore. Bajrang Dal activists created ruckus on Saturday night as liquor and meat stalls were set up there.

Former minister Usha Thakur said

Beer and meat food stalls surround the stage Bajrang Dal Divisional Minister Yash Bachani said that big stalls of liquor and beer companies were set up all around the stage. There were stalls of non-vegetarian dishes. Bajrang Dal is not against any entertainment in open premises but we will not tolerate tampering with the culture of the city.

There was an argument between the two regarding this matter. Meanwhile, advocates Anil Naidu and Dilip Singh Pawar of the legal team accompanying the Bajrang Dal informed them of the rules and asked us to go inside and investigate.

Diljit had come to Indore for a concert a day ago on Saturday.

Bajrang Dal sought permission to stay inside The Bajrang Dal has sought permission for five-seven workers to stay inside the venue full-time. On this the Additional DCP refused him. Then said that an advocate should be let go. In this case, Bajrang Dal and lawyers say that five advocates and one officer should be let go.

The workers will remain there till the end of the show Yash Bachani (Divisional Minister VHP Bajrang Dal Indore) said that Bajrang Dal workers will now stay near the venue till the end of the show. Until people reach home. During this period, if any incident like dispute, extortion, drugs happens, the workers will respond accordingly. If the police-administration does not take action, the Bajrang Dal will take action on its own. Our protest is not about the event but about the alcohol, meat and obscenity here which we will not tolerate.

Volunteers deployed along with policemen at the concert venue About a thousand policemen and volunteers from the organizing committee are present at Diljit's concert venue. There are total four doors here. Of which there are more than 200 volunteers at Golden Gate itself. Vehicles are being checked from a kilometer away. Barricades have been installed in between. The policemen have been instructed not to allow anyone to enter without a pass and not to allow anyone to post anything on social media from here.
