Georgia Wall and Alice Perry scored centuries at the Allan Border Ground in Brisbane on Sunday. Wall scored 101 runs and Perry scored 105 runs. Perry hit 6 sixes in the innings. She has become the highest six hitter for Australia in women's ODIs. She has now hit 42 sixes, earlier this record was held by Meg Lanning (40 sixes). Also, she has become the highest sixer in an innings for the team.
Richa Ghosh scored 54 runs for India. Annabelle Sutherland took 4 wickets from Australia.
Perry scored a century in 75 balls For Australia, the young opening pair of Phoebe Litchfield and Georgia Wall got off to a great start and put on 130 runs in just 19 overs. Lichfield were bowled out for 60 but Wall scored a brilliant century in his second ODI. The 21-year-old batsman played an innings of 101 runs off just 87 balls which included 12 fours. Wall shared a 92-run partnership with Ellis Perry for the second wicket. Lichfield and Wall were dismissed by fast bowler Saima Thakore.
Perry completed his century in 72 balls and scored 105 runs in 75 balls. It consists of 7 fours and 6 sixes. Apart from that, Beth Mooney scored 56 runs. Saima took 3 wickets and Minu Mani took 2 wickets for India.
Mandhana failed again, Kaur-Jemimah could not avoid defeat The Indian team chasing the target did not have a good start. Opener Smriti Mandhana could score only 9 runs. There Harleen Deol also returned to the pavilion. In such a situation, Richa Ghosh (54), who is in charge of opening, tried to handle the innings along with captain Harmanpreet Kaur.
