The Supreme Court on Friday refused to grant bail to the accused in the drug case. For this, a bench of Justice Bela Trivedi and Justice Satish Chandra Sharma cited the web series 'Narcos' and 'Breaking Bad'.
During the hearing, the accused's lawyer told the bench- the person arrested in the NDPS case is not a big threat to the society, his arrest is wrong. On that, the bench said- such drug syndicates are killing the youth of the country.
Justice Sharma said – I am asking you (counsel for the accused), have you seen Narcos? Very strong syndicate, rarely caught. Another must watch movie is Breaking Bad. You cannot fight people who are literally killing the youth of this country.
In fact, the Supreme Court heard an appeal against the Delhi High Court's decision on October 4. In which the High Court refused to grant bail to the accused. He was caught with 73.80 grams of smack (heroin) in April this year.

SC Directive- Constitute State Grievance Committee on Sexual Harassment On December 3, the Supreme Court directed that all states should constitute an Internal Complaints Committee (ICC) to protect women from sexual harassment at the workplace. A bench of Justice BV Nagarathna and Justice N Kotishwar Singh in the Supreme Court gave this direction on Tuesday on a petition filed by a former Goa University professor.
The bench said- Prevention of Sexual Harassment Act (PoSH) was brought in 2013 for the protection of women. It is worrisome to see such serious flaws in its implementation even after such a long time. It is very sad because it negatively affects the functioning of states, public authorities and public institutions.
