What is the truth behind viral videos? We did a reverse keyword search on Google to find out the truth behind this viral video. We found a tweet from fact checker and Alt News co-founder Mohammad Zubair. According to him, this video is not from Bangladesh but from Vardhaman district of West Bengal. This is a religious ceremony of Kali Mata Niranjan and the people seen in the video are not Muslims but Hindus. Link to tweet

We also found an article related to this on Alt News. It is said that this is a religious event and every 12 years such an idol is made and it is broken and dissolved. This tradition which started in this village about 600 years ago was started by the people of the blacksmith community of the village, later it was handed over to the village society. This year, as per tradition, it is the turn of the idol to be immersed after completing 12 years. Again a new idol will be created. Such a big statue cannot be taken into the lake. We found another account on Twitter, also calling this claim misleading. An account named D-Intent Data wrote that the viral video in the name of Bangladesh is misleading. This is a video from West Bengal, where a religious program of “Kali Mata Niranjan” was organized. It takes place every 12 years. The most important thing is that everyone participates in this puja, whether Hindu or Muslim. Link to tweet

It is clear that the video which has gone viral claiming to destroy the idols of Hindu deities and beat the devotees in Bangladesh, That claim is completely false. The video is from West Bengal and is of a religious program.
