The body asks the question: At what age can a teenage daughter use a menstrual cup?

Question: I am a 45-year-old woman and have a 13-year-old daughter. My daughter has been having periods for a year or so. He currently uses sanitary pads but I want to teach him to use a menstrual cup. Is he age appropriate to teach this? A woman (Ahmedabad) Answer : Your concern is justified. Menstrual hygiene should be taught to the daughter early. There is a lot of talk about menstrual cups these days. For women it is comfortable and gradually it becomes like many women. It is argued that menstrual cups are better to use than sanitary pads because cups reduce waste. However, young girls between the ages of 10 and 18 may find cupping a bit difficult. Younger girls may not understand how to use a menstrual cup. It is not right to give this understanding at a very young age. Therefore, before saving the environment, it is necessary to understand that according to age, according to understanding, menstrual products should be given to the daughter. Also, if there is not enough knowledge about hygiene at a young age, the possibility of getting an infection increases a lot. Girls can swim and play in it; But little girls don't know how to wear it and how to take it off, if they get stuck in the vagina and get injured when they take it off forcefully. So if you give a cup to young girls, prepare it first by giving them an understanding of how to use it. Don't blindly support anything. It should be understood that all this is related to the mentality and readiness of the daughter, not on the trend. Question: I am a 32 year old female. I am perfect like that but I have problems with gas before periods. Once the period comes, this problem goes away. This happens to me every month. What kind of work would this be? A woman (Vadodara) Answer : Many girls have the same problem as you. Excessive gas formation before periods is a symptom of premenstrual syndrome (PMS). There are many hormonal changes in the body before the period. Due to which many problems are caused in the intestines. Due to this, symptoms of gas appear in the body. Excessive gas production before or during periods can cause many physical problems. Due to which the problem starts in the intestines. Gas build-up before periods is a common symptom of PMS and is usually caused by hormonal fluctuations. Estrogen levels increase and progesterone levels decrease during this time. Increased estrogen levels can cause gas, constipation and stomach problems. If problems with bowel movements or other gastrointestinal symptoms persist for more than a few days during your period, consult a doctor. However, the problem can be relieved by taking care of the diet. During this day, eat healthy foods like fruits, vegetables, whole grains, lean protein, nuts and seeds and avoid foods that usually upset your stomach. During this time, eat a high-fiber diet and do yoga asanas that release trapped air. Question: I am a 35 year old man. I have been married for eight years and I have no children. Recently I consulted the doctor and he said that my sperm count is a little low. He gave me medicine but also refused to take sauna and hot bath. This surprised me a lot. Do saunas and hot baths affect sperm quality? A young man (Rajkot) Answer : Your doctor's advice is absolutely correct. Many people take sauna or hot bath regularly, but due to this, the quality of sperm gets damaged. Sperm prefer colder environments. A sauna or hot tub bath exposes the testicles to direct heat. If you have a habit of bathing with hot water every day, it can also have an adverse effect on the sperm count and speed, while sitting in a hot tub for a long time or taking a sauna can also have an adverse effect on the sperm count. Discontinuing sauna and hot tub baths may make a small but significant difference in count and may even have a positive effect on sperm speed in the long run. Anyone with sperm-count issues should start cooling the testicles. Now most people know that, don't wear tight jeans or tight underwear and if possible wear cotton underwear only. Bathing twice a day in the morning and evening is beneficial and while bathing the testicles should be soaked in chilled water in a tumbler. Doing this experiment regularly makes a difference. Along with this, changes in dietary habits are also beneficial.
