The final of the Syed Modi India International Badminton Championship is being played at the BBD Stadium in Lucknow on Sunday. India has won gold for the first time in women's doubles. The pair of Trisha Jolly and Gayatri Gopichand defeated China's pair of Bao Li Jing and Li Qian by 21-18, 21-21-11.
In women's singles, India's top seed PV Sindhu defeated China's Wu Luo Yu by a 21-16 margin to win the match. Since 2022, Sindhu has won the Syed Modi Championship. She has won in 2017 as well. Reached the finals in 2019. But she lost.
PV Sindhu has won the championship by defeating the Chinese player in the final.
In the mixed doubles category, India's fifth seeds Dhruv Kapila and Tanisha Christo lost to Thailand's sixth seeds D Puwaranukroh and Supisara Pawsampran. Both players made a comeback in the final by winning the first set, but the Thais made a comeback in the last set. Thailand players won the final 21-18, 14-21, 8-21.
The pair of Trisha Jolly and Gayatri Gopichand defeated the Chinese pair of Bao Li Jing and Li Qian.

China wins men's doubles In men's doubles, India's Prithvi Krishnamurthy Roy and Sai Prateek played a match against China's Huang De and Li Yu Yang.
Both the Indian players made a comeback after losing the match in the first set. But lost in the final set. Chinese players have won 14-21, 21-19, 21-17.
