A fake pregnancy scam has been exposed in the Anambra State of Nigeria, an African country. According to BBC Africa, some fake doctors here target women through fake pregnancies and child trafficking. For this, the women were first shown fake pregnancy reports and then given someone else's child. In return, huge sums of money were extorted in the name of treatment.
Fraudsters also made extensive use of social media for this scam. The scam was uncovered after a year-long undercover operation.

If they fail to do so, they are treated as second class. Due to which many women become victims of such scams in their desire to have children.
Some medicines were given to him for labor pain and were charged separately. Often, women were given a cesarean section when they became unconscious or dizzy under the influence of drugs. This must have convinced him that she had become a mother.
The woman, Chiano, told the BBC that she had been pregnant for 15 consecutive months, but later found out that she had been cheated on. In fact, the fraud doctor gave her some injections, which caused her stomach to swell. This is why she thought she was pregnant.

Here, young African and foreign girls are forced to become pregnant and give birth to children. Not only in Nigeria, but in many other countries including Indonesia, baby farming is done clandestinely in places like hospitals and orphanages.

The situation in Nigeria is out of control The clandestine business of child rearing has become extremely dangerous in Nigeria. Girls who give birth here are between the ages of 14 and 17 and cannot have an abortion even if they want to, as Nigerian law does not allow it.
– Mafia i.e. 'child farmers' take advantage of this and sell children for three to four lakh rupees. At the same time, people who want a child, do not oppose it, because this method is cheaper than medical treatment.
