India's External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar has arrived in Italy to attend the G-7 foreign ministers' meeting. Here he spoke to the Italian newspaper Corriere della Sera on a range of issues, including the Ukraine war and Indo-China. Jaishankar stressed on a diplomatic solution to the Ukraine war. He said there is no military solution to the Ukraine war. A fresh dialogue should be started for this.”
On the issue of buying oil from Russia amid the Ukraine war, he said that every sector should think about the reality of the economy. If Europe cares much about its principles it should itself end all trade with Russia.
At the Mediterranean Dialogue held in Rome, Jaishankar emphasized strong trade, investment and political ties with West and Middle East Asia.
The European Union is India's largest business partner Jaishankar advocated promoting diplomatic efforts to engage Moscow and Kiev, as well as all parties involved in the war, in negotiations. He stressed on increasing international cooperation, especially between India and the European Union.
He said- “The European Union is India's largest business partner and investor. We have been signing major agreements for the last few years. I have seen the strategic agreements between the two growing steadily in the last few years. He suggested that both the mutually beneficial agreements enhance economic cooperation. can
S Jaishankar met the Foreign Minister of Ukraine Andriy Sibiha in Italy. Both the leaders talked about increasing bilateral cooperation.
Countries should emphasize their own benefits more than external ones Regarding geopolitical pressures, especially tensions with China, he said that countries should put more emphasis on their own national interests than external affairs. Foreign Ministers of G-7 countries arrived to participate in the outreach meeting S Jaishankar has arrived in Italy on a three-day visit. Here he will be part of the outreach meeting of the foreign ministers of the G-7 countries to be held from November 24 to 26. Italy has invited India as the guest country for this meeting.
S Jaishankar also met people from the Indian community in Rome.
This meeting of foreign ministers is going on in Fiumicino, Italy. During his visit, he also inaugurated the new premises of the Indian Embassy in Rome. Apart from this, he also participated in the 10th edition of the 'Mediterranean Dialogue' organized by the International Institute of Political Studies (ISPI).
The Mediterranean Dialogue is held annually in Rome. This is commonly known as Mad Dialogue. This time the event will run from November 25 to 27.
