RBI Governor Shaktikanta Das has been admitted to Apollo Hospital today i.e. on 26th November. RBI spokesperson said that Shaktikanta Das complained of acidity due to which he was admitted to Apollo Hospital in Chennai for observation. Now his condition is fine and he will be discharged in the next 2-3 hours. There is nothing to worry about.
Shaktikanta Das elected world's top central banker for the second consecutive year Only last month, Shaktikanta Das was elected the world's top central banker for the second consecutive year. Shaktikanta Das once again got A+ grade in the Central Bank Report Card 2024. This award was given to the RBI Governor by Global Finance in Washington DC, America.
Das is a 1980 batch IAS officer. Shaktikanta Das is a post graduate from Stephen College from Delhi and a 1980 batch IAS officer. Till May 2017, he was the Secretary of Economic Affairs. Das took over as the 25th Governor of RBI on 12 December 2018. He was made the governor after the resignation of Urjit Patel.
Even when demonetization took place in November 2016, Das was on the main front. Das also served as a member of the 15th Finance Commission. India has been represented in BRICS, International Monetary Fund and SAARC.
