Gurmeet Chaudhary's series 'Yeh Kali Kali Aanke 2' has recently released on the OTT platform Netflix. This series is being liked a lot. During a special conversation with Frontpage Insights, Gurmeet Chaudhary shared some things related to this series.
How did you get involved in the series? The first season of this series has been very popular on Netflix. Everyone knows about this season. When I got the offer for this, I knew it was a huge franchise. Its director has prepared a big universe. When I met director Siddharth sir, he told me the story. I was very excited when I read the script, as it had both action and romance. I initially thought I would read one or two episodes first and read the rest later, but I read the entire episode by 3-4am that same night. That night I called Siddharth sir and started preparing for the next day.
How did you prepare for the character? Being physically fit was most important for this character. I was fit, but then I started training more. A lot of action practice had to be done for this. Along with this, swimming was also given attention. Also took workshops. My hair was very long so I cut it short. My character's name is also Guru so I had to say the same.
Where and for how many days was the shoot? We have shot this series in London, Manali and Mumbai. My character's introduction scene was shot in London. I shot for 35 to 40 days for this.
How was the experience of working in it? It was an excellent experience. Got a chance to work with Tahir, Shwet, Arun Uday, Saurabh Shuklaji. The series is quite a thriller, with lots of action and drama. There was a tense atmosphere on the sets. He was also good at stunts.
How do you view social media? Social media is a very good platform if used properly. I post it and the director and producer see it and that's where my work starts. Since my videos went viral, I got back to back OTT projects this year.
According to you, how is OTT growing? I have not worked in OTT before. I used to do TV and came to films from TV. It was always on my mind to be in front of as much audience as possible and nowadays we are all on OTT. Everyone watches and prefers content on OTT.
