Lightman died of electric shock on the sets of 'Anupama': Rajan Shahi gave an official statement saying – Don't spread false rumours.

On 14 November 2024, camera assistant Ajith Kumar died in an accident on the sets of the famous TV show 'Anupama'. After this tragic incident, the makers of the show, Rajan Shahi, have released an official statement.

Disclosure of Production House We, Directors Koot Productions and Shahi Productions Private Limited, have been working in the TV industry for the last 18 years. Our team has produced shows like 'Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai', 'Bidai' and 'Anupama'. All this is the result of hard work and dedication of more than 300 people.

On 14 November, apprentice camera assistant Ajith Kumar was accidentally electrocuted on the sets of 'Anupama' at Film City. He had mistakenly picked up the light rod and the camera together and was not even wearing slippers for safety. The DOP (Director of Photography) present on the set called it 'human error'. After the incident, Ajith was rushed to the hospital and given immediate treatment, but unfortunately we could not save him.

We immediately arranged flight tickets to bring Ajit Kumar's family from Patna to Mumbai. We took full responsibility for his hospital and medical expenses. Apart from this we helped the family to return to Patna and also provided compensation. The sum assured will be given to their nominee.

The safety and well-being of all our team members has always been our priority. This accident is a big shock for us. We pray to God that Ajit Kumar's soul rest in peace.
