A man slapped his 3-year-old niece in Maharashtra's Thane district. The girl died when her head hit the kitchen slab. The person burnt the body and threw it in the bushes near Mumbai. Four days later, the police arrested him and he confessed to his crime.
According to the police, the girl went missing on November 18 from near her home in Prem Nagar. On November 21, the girl's body was found in Ulhasnagar near Mumbai. The body can be identified after postmortem and examination.
The police have arrested the accused uncle. He is being interrogated.
The case was opened during the police interrogation During the investigation of the case, the police interrogated the family members, during which his uncle confessed to the crime. However, the uncle said that he did not kill the girl deliberately.
He told police that he was playing with the girl when he jokingly slapped her, causing her to hit the kitchen slab and die. After this he got scared and in panic he tried to destroy the girl's body by burning it.
DCP said- The mother had complained about the disappearance of the girl child DCP Sachin Gore said that a case of kidnapping was registered on the complaint of the girl's mother after she went missing. After police investigation, the body of the girl was found a short distance from the Hill Line Police Station today. The matter came to light after investigation.
