Ways to Boost Immunity in Winter: These remedies also protect you from cold related problems

Colds and respiratory problems increase during the cold season, but proper nutrition, small lifestyle changes and some home remedies can not only prevent them but also strengthen the immune system.

For example, along with 7 to 8 hours of sleep per day, yoga, meditation or pranayama increase the ability to fight infection. Similarly, drinking 8 to 10 glasses of water helps flush out toxins from the body.

Consuming lemon or mint with warm water is more beneficial. Regular walking, cycling or running is also beneficial. Apart from this, these four remedies are also helpful in preventing winter problems.

Turmeric, amla and sunlight boost immunity Consuming turmeric, ginger, basil, amla, garlic and black pepper is very beneficial in winter season. While turmeric reduces inflammation in the body, amla contains vitamin C, which improves immunity.

Garlic and black pepper have anti-bacterial properties, which strengthen the body's defense system. Similarly, pumpkin seeds, cashews and beans contain zinc. It is effective in curing cold and cough quickly.

Apart from this, it is also necessary to take sunlight for 20 to 30 minutes every morning. Along with this, the amount of vitamin D is balanced by including eggs and mushrooms in the diet. which strengthens the immune system.

Gargling with warm water protects against infection Gargling with lukewarm water is very beneficial in winter. Gargling with salt in warm water provides relief from sore throat. It also protects against infection. Apart from this, if the nose is blocked, taking steam with eucalyptus oil helps to open the blocked nose easily.
