17 trains, 6 flights late due to fog in Bihar: Schools timings changed in MP; Snow in Ladakh and Kashmir

The Meteorological Department has said that the temperature in Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, Odisha, Jharkhand, West Bengal is likely to be 2 degrees above normal on Monday. Delhi is the coldest state in the country. The temperature here was recorded at 11.8 degrees on Sunday.

Apart from this, there was snowfall in some areas of Kashmir and Ladakh on Sunday evening and Monday morning. The road from Srinagar to Kargil was also closed for some time due to snowfall.

  • The Tamil Nadu Meteorological Department has predicted heavy rains in the state today and tomorrow i.e. November 18 and 19. However, the state has already received heavy rainfall overnight, with delta areas receiving significant rainfall.
  • The rains that started late Sunday night continued till Monday morning in many districts of Tamil Nadu. The Meteorological Department said that the maximum rainfall of 17.5 cm was recorded in Vedaranyam. After which 13.4 cm of rain was recorded in Kodiakrai.
  • There was heavy rain in Tiruvarur as well. Tiruthuraipundi received 7 cm of rain in just two hours. Several places in Thanjavur, including the Pattukottai clock tower and the bus station, were inundated.
