New Zealand fast bowler Tim Southee will retire from Test cricket at the end of the series against England starting on November 28. Southee will play his last Test match on December 15 at his home ground at Seddon Park in Hamilton.
The 35-year-old Southee said – I will be available if our team qualifies for the WTC finals. Southee is New Zealand's highest wicket-taker in all three formats. He has 770 international wickets to his name.

It was my childhood dream to represent New Zealand. It has been the greatest honor and privilege to play for the Black Caps for 18 years, but the time has come for me to step away from the game that has given me so much. Test cricket holds a special place in my heart, so playing my last Test against the same country that started my Test career all those years ago is very special for me. I will always be grateful to my family, friends, coaches, our fans and everyone involved in the game who have supported me and my career over the years. It has been an amazing journey and I wouldn't change a thing about it.
Took 770 wickets in international cricket Tim Southee has been New Zealand's most successful bowler. Southee has taken the most wickets for New Zealand in all three formats of international cricket with 770. Southee has so far played 104 Tests, 161 ODIs and 125 T20Is for New Zealand. Has taken 385 wickets in Tests, 221 in ODIs and 164 in T-20s.
Southee has represented New Zealand in 4 ODI World Cups, 7 T20 World Cups, two Champions Trophy tournaments and the World Test Championship final of the 2019–21 cycle.
New Zealand squad announced, Williamson's comeback Former New Zealand captain Kane Williamson will make a comeback from the three-match Test series against England. He could not play in the series against India due to injury. The first match of the series will be played in Christchurch from November 28. The second match will be played in Wellington from December 6 and the third match in Hamilton from December 14.
