Edge of education: What should people do to prevent traffic problems?

Dr. Ashok Patel

After the discussion about the expectations of the college students from the traffic police, the teacher asked the college students that only the police are responsible for the traffic problem. Do citizens have no duty? So tell me, what would the police expect from people? That is, what should people do to solve the traffic problem? There are few people who break the rules, but more people suffer like, some people drive their vehicle on the wrong side, this is the same vehicle, but the vehicles coming from the right side have to be harassed. A shameless person coming here on the wrong side should feel ashamed and decide that even if he has to travel half a km, he will drive the vehicle on the right side. Another thing is that when there is a red light on four roads and everyone has to stand, especially some people who drive scooters or rickshaws or bicycles will come from behind and stand at the front from the left. This time all the people standing there hate such people, vehicles going left have to stop when these people stand in front. Such people should think, no one is saying but everyone looks at me negatively and hates Manoman. Often some people park their vehicle on the road and go to shop or other work. Then there is often a traffic jam. In such a situation one should think that even if I have to park my vehicle some distance away, I will not cause a traffic jam due to me. Some people run away when the traffic police try to stop them while driving in violation of the rules. Such people are called the enemies of the country and society who make mistakes themselves, but run away. Sometimes the police stopped their vehicle by falling in between them, and their behavior with the police is very rude. They will knock and call an officer. The police officer will inform the traffic police that it is very sad when the brother lets go. It is even worse when a senior officer gives wrong instructions to a junior employee. Actually a police officer should not call a traffic officer. Even though there is no traffic police on the four roads in the country, everyone behaves according to the rules. Here people believe in being aware and obeying the law. Whether a person wears a helmet or not does not benefit or harm the police, but a helmet is one's own protection. For this protection, the driver has to be convinced or penalized, which is said to be painful. There is a public mentality here that the police are harassed because of helmets. In fact, the police cares about the safety of the people. If people think and follow the traffic rules, most of the problems will be eased, but many people's mentality is shaped in such a way that they find short cuts, get more with less effort and find their own convenience by flouting the law. People don't obey the law and put the blame on the police who maintain order. Winter, summer or monsoon. The traffic police have to stand on four roads and do their duty. We should think how cold the police must feel while closing the windows of the car in winter and turning on the heater, or while traveling in an air-conditioned car in summer, we should think that even in extreme heat, these police are doing their duty without the facility of water. So, while driving with care not to get wet in normal rain, we all have to think, why are the police standing on four roads even in the midst of heavy rain? Traffic problems can be eased if everyone follows the rules. Finally, police regulation of traffic means that people themselves are not interested in obeying traffic rules. It is people who break the rules. One can imagine that if all the people follow the rules then where is the need for the police? Ashoky: The main reason for traffic jams on four roads is not letting others go and leaving early. If every driver respects others, there will be no traffic problem.
